Two Stores in One

Hancin’s Jewelry & Norwich Antiques

The story began in 1975 when Dennis Hancin decided to take control of his future and become his own boss. Together with his wife, Linda, they opened their first jewelry and antique shop in Norwichtown in CT. As their business grew, they quickly realized they needed more space to showcase their expanding collection. In 1982, Dennis and his sons took on the ambitious project of hand-building a 6,000 square foot custom log cabin on West Thames Street to house their treasures.

The cabin has endured the test of time and remains a unique experience in itself. Its stunning architecture provides the perfect backdrop for an impressive selection of estate jewelry in gold and silver, along with exquisite Italian Murano glass and Fenton pieces. The store is also filled with a diverse range of collectibles, from furniture and pottery to artwork and coins. Shopping here is more than just a transaction—it's a one-of-a-kind experience.

Though Dennis and Linda are no longer active in the store, their legacy lives on. The next generation, the Hancin children, have continued the family tradition, ensuring the business thrives and remains a cherished part of the community.
